Nokia unveils the Lumia 625,A new wallet-friendly Lumia sporting Nokia’s largest screen on a Windows Phone to date.

The first two things you’ll probably notice about the new Nokia Lumia 625 are its humongous 4.7-inch LCD display and its five swappable candy-colored shells, which come in orange, yellow, bright green, white, and black. Nokia said the 4G LTE-ready phone would go on sale in China, India, and other countries outside the U.S. in the next few months. Estimated price tag: 220 euros (which might vary by country based on local taxes and subsidies).
Behind that big screen is a solid Windows Phone 8 smartphone: The Lumia 625 has a 1.2-GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 512 MB RAM, 2,000mAh battery, and 8 GB internal storage—expandable to 64GB via MicroSD card. It sports a 5-megapixel camera with 1080p recording and a front-facing VGA shooter. For a full run down of specs, head over to Nokia’s website.
The phone also comes bundled with Nokia’s innovative music, photography, and navigation apps: Nokia Music, Nokia Smart Camera, Nokia Cinemagraph, and the HERE suite—Maps, Drive, and Transport. The Nokia Conversations blog has more coverage of the Lumia 625, and the teaser video below is also worth a watch.
